Raised in Fairfax, Virginia, Dr. Smaiyra Chaudhary has always been rooted in the Northern Virginia community. Coming from a family of dentists, she was drawn to the profession early, captivated by its rare ability to unite science, artistry, and genuine human connection.

Her academic path took her from Virginia Commonwealth University to a graduate certificate in Biomedical Sciences at Georgetown University and George Mason University, before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the NYU College of Dentistry. NYU's intensive clinical program prepared her to step directly into private practice, where she spent years honing her skills and envisioning the kind of practice she one day hoped to build.

She founded Atelier Opal Dental with the vision of creating a dental experience that feels different from the traditional model, one that prioritizes patient comfort, clear communication, and an elevated environment. Her approach to dentistry emphasizes precision, attention to detail, and a strong focus on aesthetics, helping patients achieve smiles that are both healthy and naturally beautiful. Dr. C is known for her calm and compassionate demeanor, as well as her commitment to providing personalized, thorough care.
